First item was to make a quick revision in the Beatles video. That took 10 minutes editing in iMovie, then another 20 minutes rendering the video and copying it to a USB stick for later. Got that all done by 9am. And down to the lobby to meet Joanne and Joanne the Other and Erika. We got in JTOther’s car and off to the Baylands for a hike.
Walked a couple of hours, ran up 3.3 miles on the phone. Back in time for early lunch. Then a nap, and then down to the auditorium to set up for the tech rehearsal for our Beatles show Friday night. There are 12 songs, and we have volunteer song-leaders for all of them. Song-leader’s job is to read a 1-minute introduction to the song, like when it was written or what album it was on. Then I roll the video and the song-leader sings along and hopefully encourages the audience to sing also.
Got done with that just before 5. Up to my room, change, down to the garage to meet Joanne and off to dinner. Her idea, we went to Menlo Park and ate at Cafe Borrone, just outside Kepler’s bookstore. Simple dinner, we split a plate of pasta and a salad. Then had a bit of a bookstore browse. When we got back to CH, it was only 7pm so we went up to my room and played the movie Nomadland off Netflix. It’s a very nice, quiet movie. About mostly nice people with common problems.
