Did my strength exercises after breakfast. Did a little organizing for the Beatles event.
After lunch, drove to the Museum to lead a private tour. This was scheduled for 2:30, but when I arrived I found that the group–ten people, an alumni group from Worcester Polytechnic (pronounced Wooster)–had been there already for an hour. I got them collected and oriented but this was just 2pm, and the regularly scheduled 2pm tour was just starting. So I had to keep the Woosters amused for at least 20 minutes to let the other tour get ahead.

Fortunately the Pat and the other docents in the 1401 lab were still there, tidying up from their live demo. So they very kindly gave my group a short 1401 demo. They got to keypunch their names in IBM cards and get their printouts from the 1403 line printer.
And just by chance the Big Mac was back. Big Mac is a four-times-larger functional replica of the original Mac. It was in our lobby a few weeks ago, then disappeared, but today it was back, so we spent a few minutes learning about that. Then we went and had a conversation with Ameca, the talking robot. Of course Ameca knew all about Wooster Polytechnic, which impressed them.
By that time I had stalled long enough to let the regular tour move on, but no. Despite me saying all my things, I kept seeing the other tour just ahead of us. Move it along, ok? Well, it worked out and my group certainly got their money’s worth.
Home for a nap, and supper, and then one more video to process, but that is finally done. I think. There’s more to do but all the videos have been captioned.
